How We Install Your Smart HomeOur 6-Step Process
From initial consultation to ongoing support, we guide you through every step of creating your perfect smart home.
Our proven methodology
How We Build Your Smart Home
Initial Consultation & Needs Assessment
Every project begins with a conversation. We take time to understand how you live, what you want your home to do, and what genuinely matters to you, before we ever talk about technology. This includes a full on-site survey of your property, giving us everything we need to design a system that works with your home rather than against it.
A clear understanding of your project, your priorities, and your home.

Tailored Smart Home Design & Proposal
Based on your consultation and survey, we design a smart home system built specifically around your property and lifestyle. You'll receive a detailed proposal covering exactly what we're installing, why we've chosen it, and what it will cost, with no hidden fees and no vague estimates. Everything is transparent before anything begins.
A bespoke design and clear proposal you can make an informed decision from.

Expert Installation & Setup
Our engineers install everything with precision and care, treating your home with the same respect you do. We work cleanly, communicate clearly throughout, and manage the entire installation process so you don't have to. Timelines are agreed in advance and kept to, because your time matters.
A professional, disruption-free installation carried out to the highest standard.

System Programming & Optimisation
With hardware in place, we configure and program your entire system, building your automations, scenes, dashboards, and integrations exactly as discussed. We then test everything rigorously before we consider the job done, because a smart home that almost works isn't good enough.
A fully configured, thoroughly tested system ready for handover.

Client Handover & Training
We walk you through your new smart home in person, making sure you're completely comfortable with every feature before we leave. We don't hand you a manual and disappear, we stay until you're confident, and we leave you with clear documentation covering everything your system can do.
Complete confidence in using and enjoying your smart home from day one.

Continuous Support & System Maintenance
Our relationship with you doesn't end at handover. Whether you're on one of our aftercare plans or simply need occasional support, we're here for updates, expansions, questions, and everything in between. Your smart home is a long-term investment and we treat it as one.
Ongoing peace of mind that your system is looked after for years to come.

Budgets & Phasing
Investment & Value
Whole-home projects typically start from £25,000 ex. VAT, and we also take on smaller lighting, network and repair projects. This reflects the level of engineering, infrastructure, and long-term support included in every installation. We understand that budgets vary, and we're happy to discuss what is achievable within a given budget at the consultation stage. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, we work with you to find the right balance between your vision and your investment.
Phasing Your Project
Not everything needs to happen at once. Many of our clients phase their projects over time, and this is something we plan for from the very beginning. This approach gives you flexibility and allows you to spread costs across multiple phases while building a system that grows with your needs.
1. Getting the Infrastructure Right
The most important stage, particularly on new builds and renovations, is getting the wiring right. Cabling is far more disruptive and costly to add retrospectively, so we always recommend prioritising this while walls are open and works are already underway. This is the foundation everything else will depend on.
2. Adding Hardware in Phases
Once the infrastructure is in place, the hardware can follow whenever suits your timeline and budget. The only components we consider essential from the outset are the network infrastructure and the smart home hub. Everything else can be added in phases as budget allows or as priorities evolve.
Components that can be phased:
- Lighting controls
- Sensors and automation
- Motorised blinds and shading
- Audio systems
- Additional displays and controls
The Result
This approach means you can start with a solid, professionally engineered foundation and build on it over years rather than facing the full investment upfront. Your smart home grows with you, adapting to your changing needs and budget. It's honest, flexible, and designed to work for real life.
Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical installation take?
It depends on the scale of the project. A single-room or focused system can take a few days. A whole-home installation typically takes one to three weeks on site. We provide a detailed programme before any work starts.
Do I need to move out during installation?
In most cases no. We work around the household and phase the work to keep disruption to a minimum. We will always flag in advance which areas or days will be most disruptive.
Will I be able to use the system myself or do I need to call you every time?
Your system is designed to be intuitive. At handover we walk you through everything and leave you with a plain-English user guide specific to your home. Our support portal is also available around the clock for self-help and ticket logging.
What happens after the installation is complete?
Every installation includes a defects liability period and we offer three aftercare plan tiers for ongoing remote monitoring, annual servicing, and priority support. Annual servicing is a condition of your system warranty.
Do you work outside of the North East?
Yes. While we are based in the North East, we work across the UK, and most of our projects are in London and the South East. Travel and accommodation costs for projects outside our local area are agreed transparently before contract.
