How we approach it
Every reliable smart home sits on a reliable network. Most of the problems people blame on smart devices are really network problems: weak Wi-Fi at the edges of the house, overloaded consumer routers, or cameras and sensors sharing a network with everything else.
We design the network around the building: wired backhaul where possible, access points placed for coverage rather than convenience, and separate networks so smart devices, guests and your own computers are kept apart. Outbuildings, gardens and garages are planned in from the start.
In new builds and renovations the most important decision is cabling, because it is far cheaper to run while walls are open. In finished homes we work with existing routes and wireless links to avoid disruption.
